directions

the woman invisible to herself takes place at the Milkbar in Oakland, and here are the directions to it: read carefully (really). we're easy to get to and tough to find but well worth it.

Where: The Milk Bar is located in East Oakland in the Sunshine Biscuit Factory Complex. We are approx 1 mile from the Oakland Coliseum on 81st Ave, 1/2 block east of San Leandro Ave. The address is 851 81st Ave. However, knowing this number is not sufficient to find the right entrance. Please read the detailed directions below.

Map quest / google maps can sometimes be deceptive in this area. This map is ok.

Driving Directions

(from Oakland/SF/Berkeley):
Take 880 south through Oakland. Exit at 66th Ave.
At the end of the exit ramp turn left at the light onto 66th. Follow 66th Ave. past the Coliseum and turn right onto San Leandro Ave. Follow San Leandro past the Coliseum BART station until you hit 81st Ave.
Turn left onto 81st Ave., noticing the Sunshine Biscuit Factory complex on your left (that's where you're going). It has bright red trim.
Pass the first fenced driveway, and turn left at the 2nd, (also fenced) gate across the street from a long low industrial building (the former mother's cookie factory). If you see a small sign on the right (south) saying Mothers Cookies Factory you've gone too far. You'll be met at the gate during the pre-show half hour.

BART / Transit Directions

We are biking/slightly long walk from BART. Take BART to the
Coliseum/Oakland Airport stop, exit onto San Leandro Ave., and proceed south approx 2 intersections to 81st Ave. We are the 2nd fenced driveway on the left, after turning left on 81st Ave. Please do not hesitate to call if you are at all confused, we are available for rides back to BART after the show.
